Unique Menu Items You NEED to Try at The Barn-B-Que!
Obviously, you're going to want to try the best smoked meats at the Lake of the Ozarks when you dine at The Barn-B-Que in Lake Ozark paired with our savory BBQ sauces, but those are most likely foods you've had before. We do believe our smoked meats are better than that of other places you've eaten at, but still, brisket, pulled pork, turkey, etc... are not unusual items to find on a BBQ restaurant's menu.
Today we're focusing on some of the more unique menu items that offer something a bit different when you dine at our Lake of the Ozarks BBQ restaurant & smokehouse. When your taste buds are ready for an adventure, you may want to give one of these tasty treats a try.
Blue Cheesy Tots
Tater tots are a fairly common side dish but we bring ours up to elite appetizer level with the addition of some deliciously bold flavors! These tator tots are first smothered in our house-made blue cheese dressing. After that, we top them with bacon pieces, blue cheese crumbles, and chives. Irresistible!
Farm Nachos
These are "na-cho" ordinary nachos! Sure, they start with a tortilla chip base and have a savory queso cheese and sour cream drizzled on top, but the toppings get a lot different than you're used to after that. Those chips are also drizzled in our house sweet BBQ sauce and topped with our Camp Beans and your choice of chicken or pulled pork.
BBQ Tacos
It's a rare person that can resist a taco! We up the ante on these tacos by using some of our hickory-smoked meats as the main ingredient.
Heart Attack Burger
All of our 1/3-lb. burgers are deliciously made with a blend of beef chuck and brisket, then seasoned with salt, pepper, and our house rub and griddle-seared. What's special about this particular burger is, well, the size! Once all the pieces are put together, is a gigantic meal full of fantastic flavors that are sure to satisfy the biggest of appetites!
The Heart Attack Burger is a double burger topped with our incredible pulled pork, bacon, and queso cheese sauce. One of these shouldn't actually give you a heart attack, but with so much meat, you might consider having a salad before enjoying another one next time.
Brisket Cheesesteak
This specialty sandwich uses our amazing brisket as the main ingredient. It's served Philly-style with sauteed onions & peppers then topped with provolone cheese. A classic with our own smoked twist.
Granda Jayne's Homemade Specialties
Last, but certainly not least, our dear Grandma Jayne's special recipes have been used for two of our made-from-scratch side dishes. The first of these is her award-winning Camp Beans, made with 5 different varieties of beans, our house sweet BBQ sauce, brown sugar, and chunky tomatoes.
We are also proud to serve her Old-Fashioned Mustard Potato Salad. It contains a magical mix of red potatoes, onions, sweet pickle relish, diced celery, mayo, and just a touch of mustard.
Best of all (and those two sides are already making our mouths water) Grandma Jayne comes in every week to whip up some of her made-from-scratch desserts! You definitely want to save room for the tasty treats she creates. If you're too full, we suggest getting something sweet to go for later.
So, which of these unique dishes from The Barn-B-Que are you going to try first? (It's okay if you choose to eat dessert first, by the way!) We open the doors to our family restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks daily at 11:00 am. Come on by soon to take your taste buds on an adventure they won't soon forget!
