We serve many mouthwatering smoked meats here at The Barn-B-Que Smokehouse in Lake Ozark. Each one is cooked in small batches daily to ensure you get the freshest food possible. Among those meats is a delicious cut of beef that we use in a variety of delicious ways - brisket! What is Brisket?
Brisket is a cut of meat from the breast or lower chest of beef. It is one of the eight primal cuts of beef. This popular meat has a long history in the United States but only became popular as a BBQ dish when a restaurant in Texas decided to start slow-smoking it in the late 1950s. It was nearly a decade before the "fad" spread to other BBQ restaurants across the USA. Today, brisket is one of the most popular dishes served.
How Many Ways Can Brisket Be Served?
Well, with a little imagination, we're sure a creative cook could come up with an infinite number of ways to serve up a tasty plate full of brisket. Here at our Lake of the Ozarks BBQ restaurant, we've come up with quite a few of our own ways to get this delicious meat to you.
We serve this magnificent meat as both a Brisket Sandwich and on a dinner plate along with some of our savory side dishes. The Brisket Dinner comes with 8-ounces of meat or you can choose to order a 1, 2, or 3 meat combo dinner with brisket as one of those choices. The kids' menu also has Brisket Sliders on it.
Brisket in a soft flour tortilla folded over with melted mozzarella, sauteed onions, and sauteed peppers, served with salad and sour cream.
3 flour tortillas filled with brisket, salsa verde, cilantro, grilled onions, and shredded cheese with fresh lime wedges.
Fresh mixed greens served with tomatoes, cheddar cheese, and onion with your choice of smoked meats added.
Brisket Dip Sandwich
Caramelized Onions, provolone cheese, and a side of au jus.
Brisket Cheesesteak Sandwich
Philly-style with sauteed onions, peppers, and melted provolone cheese.
The Barn Burner Sandwich
Brisket, jalapeno cheddar sausage, plus our horseradish and sweet BBQ sauces.
A single 1/3-pound burger topped with brisket, sliced provolone cheese, and our house sweet BBQ sauce.
These are actually the points of the brisket. After they are cut off, we marinate them in a blend of house sauces and spices before they are double-rubbed and double-smoked to perfection.
A dinner plate with some of our very best; 4 ribs, a jalapeno cheddar sausage, pulled pork, turkey, and brisket.
As you can see, we got pretty creative coming up with a wide variety of ways for you to enjoy brisket at The Barn-B-Que.
